The homeless speak- Toothpick
Meet Toothpick, his name says it all about his looks. The boy is thin as a needle but loud as a goug midday. Toothpick is a master of dissing if I had to imagine him on TV he would be perfect to co-host with Nick Cannon on Wild n Out. This boy has jokes for days, goes out of lines quite a lot and start being disrespectful quick. So you go from laughing with him to crying by yourself (hahaha).
Toothpick grew up residing at his ouma flat, his 52 year old grandmother raised him up until he was 12 and died at 64. That’s when his life took a turn for the worst. When his grandmother was deceased, toothpick’s uncle wanted to sell the house. And demanded that he goes to a shelter for children.
You’re probably wondering where is his mother? No one knows but you can see the hope in his eyes that someday he wishes to cross path with her. Even though he calls her names while putting his precious Gogo in a pedestal, I believe something inside him longs for her.
Back to the story, toothpick refused and saw a n his life that he would rather die than to go on a homeless shelter. I asked him if he has been to one before and surprisingly said no. I asked than why would you think the worst about a place you’ve never been to, his answer was short but much detailed: “ it has always been me and my grandmother and now that she is gone it me myself and I, I don’t trust any one in this world”
I don’t know about you but this sounded like he has given a couple of people a chance in his life to help him and trusted them enough to depend on them but only disappointed him.
